Fayetteville, GA (Oct. 4, 2004) -- The Fayette Community Hospital (FCH) Auxiliary has teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive on Thursday, October 14, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Hospital’s Community Room. Eligible donors must be 17 years of age or older and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors may give blood every 56 days, or six times a year.
Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. Every day, 34,000 donations are needed in the United States to help save the lives of cancer patients, accident victims, and children with blood disorders, among others. One pint of blood can help save as many as three lives.
