Prepared Childbirth Class - Recommended after your 20th week of pregnancy for expectant parents. An all day class offering information on recognizing the signs and stages of labor, planned and unplanned cesarean births, assisted births and the role of the support person. Pain management options such as relaxation and breathing techniques, epidurals and analgesics will be discussed. Maternity Center Tour at the end of the class. Cost: $100. Breastfeeding Basics –  A 3 hour class that offers information to help expectant mothers get off to a good start with breastfeeding. Topics include the benefits of breastfeeding for baby and Mom, correct latch and positioning, and milk supply. Also, to enhance the nursing experience,  information  about breast pumps, returning to work and common breastfeeding challenges will be discussed. Fathers or support partners are encouraged to attend. Grandparents welcome. Offered monthly Free. To register call Link2Health

Infant Safety and CPR - Recommended for expectant parents and caregivers, this 2 hour class discusses the basics of CPR, including choke-saving skills, home safety and other injury prevention measures. Taught by an American Heart Association Certified Instructor. Offered monthly. Cost: $25/person or $35/couple. To register call Link2Health @ 1-866-900-4321.

Moms in Motion - This course is a fitness program designed to prepare women for the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum.  Cost: $25 per month.  For more information call 770-719-7290.

Sibling Class – Siblings ages two to eight years old, accompanied by a parent, are welcome to attend this special class. Children will learn what to expect when the new baby comes home and about what happens to mom while she is in the hospital. Class is one hour and includes a tour of the maternity center, a t-shirt for big brother/sister and a special gift for the new baby. Fee: $10/family To register call Link2Health @ 1-866-900-4321.

Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Training Class - Learn how to keep your children safe, especially while traveling by car. This class is offered the second Monday of every month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. For additional information contact Debbie Straight 770-305-5148. Fee $10.

Baby Basics - A 2 hour class providing information and guidance related to the care of the newborn. Topics discussed will include diapering, burping, feeding, calming a fussy baby, immunizations, cord care, circumcision and signs of illness. Offered monthly. Cost $10. Baby Dayz - Monthly informational group offers support and solutions to all your parenting and newborn questions during the first months. Educational speaker will present a new topic each month. Meets Second Tuesday of each month at The Fayette County Public Library in Fayetteville. *Babies up to 6 months old welcome*. Certified Lactation Consultant will be available.
