To better serve the emergency needs of you and your family, Piedmont Fayette Hospital established the Minor Emergency Care Center. This service, located 1.7 miles east of our main Emergency Department, is devoted to people seeking emergency care services for non-life-threatening injury or illness. If the situation might indicate a hospital admission, patients should call 911 or go directly to the Hospital on-campus Emergency Department.
The physicians, nurses and other emergency care professionals on staff are specially trained to treat such emergencies as cuts, bruises, earaches, cold and flu symptoms, broken bones and other injuries or illnesses that are not perceived to be life, limb or vision threatening, including chest pain.
Patients have equal access to emergency care on the main campus and this expanded location, while enjoying a seamless patient care experience. This is not an Urgent Care Service. The same broad range of insurance is accepted at both hospital service locations and your Emergency Co-pay will apply..
For your convenience, the center is open every day from 2 until 9:30 p.m.
